Mental Health & Substance Use Counselor

1. Must have an LCPC, LCSW, LPC, or LSW or be able to be licensed within the next year.

2. If licensed, must be in good standing to practice in all its branches in Illinois.

3. Must have a CADC with a MISA (CODP) Certification Preferred.

4. Must provide proof of liability insurance and current licenses.

5. Must have the ability to screen, assess and diagnose with ASAM and DSM-V criteria and determine clients needed Level of Care.

6. Must understand the unique needs of the homeless population.

7. Must be familiar with technology e.g., electronic record, zoom, grasshopper, Microsoft office,

email, etc.

8. Must be able to provide groups: both in person and via tele-health.

9. Must be able to conduct educational seminars on and off-site.

10. Must be able to document in DAP format.

11. Must have excellent communication skills.

12. Cannot have been convicted of a felony or had any subsequent incarceration for at least 3 years

prior to the date of employment.

13. Must be able to pass a toxicology screen.

14. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and be able to construct and complete typed court

reports.

15. May be required to attend court appearances.

17. Must be willing to complete a CAQH application.

18. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

19. Available 20-35 hours per week.

20. Available for immediate placement.

21. This is a contractual w-2 or 1099 employment.

22. Salary: Salary will be commensurate with duties, abilities, and timeliness of work completion.
